Read THIS blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is.

What he is trying to say is that people need to stop taking the easy way out and they need to start working.  You will destroy your future dreams of being what you want to be and getting a god job if they dont work for it.   Teachers are really stressed out by the number of students just quitting.  Students need to start working harder to achieve their goals.

3 day weekend... how was it? Give me a good story or something funny that happened this weekend.

This weekend i watched the Royals games.  they won 12-3 and they are undefeated.  they have won their first 7 games by more than two and they are first in the division because Detroit lost. they got the record for most runs scored in the first seven games (52 in total).  we don't even have to use our closers (the best in baseball) to win games.  They didn't let a run in in 30 games in a row.

If images are on the internet they should be "free game".

If you post something online someone else should be able to use it as their work even if you were the first one that osted it.  Anything that you put online can and will be copied and seen.

Reflection on Resume Website 4/7/15

Reflect on your resume website

I thought my website looks pretty good compared to other peoples websites.  I have some unique things like stars on the side of the screen.  I also didn't see anyone use border radius like I did.  One thing I could improve on is putting a few more words in my resume.  Another thing that I could do is add a little more stuff out to the sides f the picture and information.  I used decorations for borders and made my website look pretty cool overall.  I chose fonts for the headings that looked good for my website and made it really easy to navigate.  I made a nice simple nav bar that fit with the color scheme of the rest of the website.  I could have made a contact orm for other people that I could have put under the contact me page but overall I like what I did.

Define 'User Experience'. What does it mean and how does it relate to web design? Explain yourself.


User experience is how someone else experiences something. It involves a persons behaviors and emotions about your website. User experience focuses on having a deep understanding of people, what they need, what they value, their abilities, and limitations.  If something is user friendly then people can have a better experience when they visit your website.

What is a resume website? What do people put on resume websites. Spend about 5-10 minutes looking up resume websites and what they are used for. Explain what you find. Include an image of a resume website if possible.

A resume website is basically a way to post information about yourself.  Other people can view your website and learn about you.  Here is an example of a resume website.  I thought this is a good example because it shows his personal information.  In these websites people can include personal information and share some of their adventures.

What are you doing for Spring Break?

I am going to leave for Florida right after school o board a plane.  We are staying at my grandpa's condo on the beach in Anna Maria Island.  It is a really nice place to go to and it has exultant fresh seafood.  We are going to go snorkeling and eat at our favorite restaurant "The Sandbar."

If you were the Principal for a week at BVHS, what would that look like? What changes would you make? Why?

I would just tell everybody to go home because we wouldn't have school today.  I would make school a lot more fun.  School would have good pizza that is actually thick.  the pizza is always really greasy and bad.  I bring my lunch because of this but i buy lunch on Friday because it is good.

this weekend I went to Collectors Cache and got a lot of cards I needed for my deck.  It was really fun and I got some good cards from some booster packs.

This weekend I played in a indoor soccer game.  We won 5-1 against a good team but i did not score any goals.  The ref favored the other team and hates ours.  We always celebrate when someone on our team gets a foul and the ref didn't think that was very nice.  The game was really fun and we won.

Color can convey a lot of emotion when it comes to designing anything from a product to a website to an advertisement to a logo and so much more. What do you think the importance of colors on a website are? What is a color scheme and why is it important to have when designing? Explain any thoughts you might have around color in design.

Color schemes can tell a person what kind of person (the one who made the website) is.  all of the different colors mean different things.  Lighter colors mean you are more bright and darkercolors sometimes means you are sad.

Think about the quote above. What does this mean to you? How could this apply to your life? How could this apply to your school work (especially Web Design!)? I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?

I think these are the people who really strive to do their best but their best isnt enough and other people always seem to beat them out.  there will always be someone that is better than you at something with few exceptions.

Tell me all about your weekend!

This weekend I had an indoor soccer game with my friends.  We played a division two team and they scored two goals in the last few minuets.  I assisted two goals on our team and had an amazing back heel flick for a goal.  The ending score of that game was 3-4.

What's the coolest thing you've learned in this class so far this year? Now that you have a little knowledge, what do you want to learn that you don't know how to do yet?

I think the coolest thing I have doe in this class so far is CSS.  I think it is cool how you can go more in depth into things and really make your website cool.  I want to learn more CSS stuff and make an awesome website sometime.

I did not go to sweet-hart but I had a good time watching the super bowl.  I wanted the Patriots to win and they clutched it out so that was really exciting.  Also I  enjoyed watching Gronk beat people up at the end.

A website wireframe is a screen blueprint.  It represents the framework of a website.  It is kind of like the layout of the website.  They are created to arrange stuff and be organized.

My weekend went by really fast.  I had no soccer games this weekend and that disappointed me.  I played a lot of basketball though.  I also played a game of ping-pong with my friend and when I beat him he threw his paddle at the wall and made a dent in it.

The kids in the 70s and 80s are so out of style.  They dont get very good grades and they mess around a lot.  They talk way too much in class and they behave badly when the teacher is not around.

What do you find the most confusing and frustrating part of web design and HTML code so far? What would make it easier? What don't you understand? What do you understand? Explain yourself.

The most confusing part of web design so far is making my first website. I got lost really fast but I think I figured it out with the help of Boushka.  I don't know if i did it right bu it seemed to work.  I hope I don't get lost again. It would help if we went a little slower.

Tell me all about your 3 day weekend! Share photos.

This weekend I had to run two miles and time it for my soccer team.  I ran it in 12:51.  my personal best for the two mile is 12:36 but that was on a really goo day.  also on Monday i played in an indoor soccer game with my friends.  We won 16-0 and i scored 4 goals.  Our first game before this one we barely lost 2-3, but that game was at 11:45 at night.  I watched both of the football teams that i wanted to win lose also and that did not make me happy.

I am a freshman at here at blue valley high school.  I am involved in soccer.  I hope to be on varsity by my joiner year and i also hope to start on that team.  My favorite class is HELA because I enjoy  reading.  I am looking forward to summer this year.

What are your thoughts on this class so far? Easy? Hard? Informative? Frustrating? What have you learned so far? What do you want to learn? Explain yourself.

So far code is a little confusing but overall it is pretty easy.  I like code and I think you can be creative with it and create your own website.  I had never heard of code until this class.  I want to learn how to write code without making any mistakes because sometimes i forget what to put.

I think that this is a good idea because it encourages teenagers to get up and start helping out.  This makes me feel like i can do more.  I agree because i think teenagers should start helping out now matter what the job is.
